A. ELIMINATION BRACKET REGISTRATION
1. All competitors should be at their assigned rings before compitition begines. Once the compitition has started in a particular event / division, that event / division is closed to all late entries unless so deemed by tournament director. A competitor will be disqualified when he/she fails to appear at the ring within one minute after the third call of his/her name.
2. Students from the same school/club should not be required to fight each other until the final match. It will be the responsibliity of the competitor and or instructor to inform the head judge or referee in advance that they are from the same school/club.
3. A competitor must compete in the appropriate age, rank and if deemed weight division unless permission to change division's is obtained by tournament director.
4. A competior who moves up in any division with proper authorization must advance in both kata and sparring didvsion and may not return to a lower division.
5. If a competitor has a multiple colored belt the ranking color shall be the level he/she must compete at: green and orange belt green is the ranking color.
6. A competitor may only enter one division of sparring per tournament.
7. Junior competitors (17 years of age and under) may not compete with adults under any circumstances.
9. Executive competitors (35-49 men, 32-49 women) may compete as adult or executive but not both
10. Legends competitors 50 and older men, 50 and older women should only compete in legends
11. Rules meeting for officials and competitors shall be held before each NTLMA tournament begins
12. Black belt shall compete after the junior competitors both kata and sparring.
13. Points and fouls should be demonstrated when ever possible before competition.
